From heartwarming children’s tales that teach gentle life lessons to thoughtfully designed puzzle books that challenge and delight adults, every book is crafted with care, creativity, and purpose.
We love creating experiences that bring families together whether it’s a bedtime story shared between parent and child or a quiet moment spent solving puzzles. Each book is made to inspire curiosity, encourage growth, and provide moments of joy and relaxation.

About the Author
Peter J. Grieten, known by his pen name Johan van den Eertwegh (Jeert), is a Dutch author with a broad passion for science, nature and the great questions of existence.
He studied as a Medical Analyst at Erasmus University Rotterdam and went on to build a successful entrepreneurial career, primarily in Southeast Asia.
His most celebrated work, OXY — Biography of a Silent Witness, tells the epic story of 14 billion years of cosmic evolution through the eyes of a single oxygen atom. A unique book that bridges science and poetry — published in five languages: Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish.
His novel You Skipped Through Time — We Had to Carry It takes readers on an intriguing journey through time and space. Astronaut George Vance returns to Earth after three years in space — only to find his family has aged thirty years. Based on Einstein’s proven laws of physics.
Alongside his adult titles, Johan has written the popular Chai series — picture books about a little elephant, loved by children worldwide. All his works are published through his own imprint JeertBook Kiosk.
Johan van den Eertwegh lives in Berkel en Rodenrijs, the Netherlands.
Personal Life
Behind me, there’s a deep appreciation for the simple, meaningful moments in life quiet evenings, storytelling, and the joy of learning through play. I find inspiration in everyday life and in the power of imagination, drawing creativity both from the laughter of children and the quiet focus that comes from solving a puzzle.
I try to balance my love for creativity with reflection. Much of what I create comes from observing how stories and challenges shape the way we think, feel, and connect with others.
When I’m not writing, I spend my time exploring new ideas, reading, and finding inspiration in nature and the small wonders of daily life.
